I seem to be having a problem with one of the gear's on Stiga Game

I have a feeling some Tack it Over and Over got in the gears.

The rod is stiff and doesn't turn well.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it.

unfortunatly the rod is a carbon rod from tablehockeypro.com

Don't feel like playing 12.75 US plus shipping for One rod. Could rack up the price to over 20US with shipping. Plus it has to cross the border to Canada

Try goo gone first, then maybe acetone if it fails, in the gears.

Once it's close, a little silicon spray in the gears will make it real smooth.

Hey Stephen

The Goo Gone worked really good. Almost instantly fixed the stiff gears. Just waiting too see how the gear turns after its been sitting for awhile.

Bought Goo Gone from Canadian Tire for 6.99 for spray bottle

Are you the one that played at our Calgary Table Hockey League for one meeting and kicked everybodys ****?

I remember you said Your moving to Victoria? Hows victoria?

Glad the Goo Gone worked - it was a guess, it's good to know for when it happens to me.

I played in Calgary and went 17-1, it's probably the highlight of 2009 for me, which has otherwise been one trainwreck after another. Long story short, I'm back in Ottawa looking for work after getting laid off. While on contract, I bought this house, so now I'm trying not to lose it. The difference between a recession and a depression is whether your neighbour or you are out of work, and this time around I'm on the wrong end of the pitchfork.

But the NCR Select league is up and running in Gatineau, and it's a very strong circuit. I will be grateful to hang on to .500 over the year, and every win or tie feels like a personal best.
