Hey gents,

I'm new to the forum and am glad I found some people who have the same passion for table hockey as I do.

I just purchased a stiga hockey table and noticed that my left winger's stick will rub against the boards when behind the net. Is this a flaw in my table or is this a common thing? I also noticed that some of my players will just "drop" on their peg and I'm afraid that if spun too hard that they will fly off. I did get an extra team pack to replace these players, but was wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Thanks,
Ash

Ash,

Welcome to Table Hockey Heaven!

Check under the table to see if the black supports are not warped.

Look at this thread about keeping the players from lifting...

Awesome. I'll pick some of this stuff up tomorrow. What about the sticks rubbing against the boards though?

Also, if you are using the NHL figures, check to see that the winger's stick has not come out from its glove. Sometimes, the sticks on the NHL figures are too loose and start sliding out. You can fix the problem with a little crazy glue.

I'll bet this is the problem. I noticed the same thing on my new Stiga after a few weeks of playing and it turned out to be a stick that had dropped about 3 mm or so out of the glove. I used a 5-minute, two-part epoxy to secure the stick and "seal" around the glove--back to normal Very Happy

That's probably it. I'll have to check this out when I get home.
