Hi guys,
I just got put in charge of running the CFL coverage on www.prosportsblogging.com and I am looking for some fans in the cities of the teams that may like to cover their team, and join our site of over 100 bloggers!
I currently have a blogger for Montreal and Calgary (myself) and I am shooting for having all the bloggers in place by the end of next week when the site is ready for the CFL.
If this is something you may be interested in. drop me a PM or you can email me at shanehoopfer@prosportsblogging.com we ask for two blogs a week and you can see on the site of examples of the blogs.
edit: Got a shiny new email address LOL
Thanks

I'm not sure off the top of my head but www.tsn.ca may stream the games since they have the contract. I'll see if I can find more info for you though! |

I remember trying TSN before and I got blocked. Could be because a channel carried it here at the time. I'll try again this year. Would appreciate a link if you happen to run across a feed.
Thanks Hoop! _________________

See TSN isn't blocked for me this year so I can watch all of the games, with a delay. (well it's live to me!). Feed quality is very good. Thanks! Sorry for going off topic _________________

It looks like Ottawa will be back in the league in a couple of years. I'm kind of jaded about the team's prospects: it's folded twice since the NHL came to town. If they played it on ice, it would (1) have better prospects here, and (2) totally own.
Also, I see Moncton (NB) sold out its Argos pre-season tilt in 32 hours. I think this would be a perfect fit for the CFL, an untapped pro sports area of around 300 000 in reasonable distance. Plus, the league would have 5 (actual eastern teams) in the East and 5 in the West. Of course, building a 25 000 seat stadium doesn't come cheap. |

Ottawa should be ok now with the building getting completely renovated and new ownership.
I think it is far more likely that Quebec City would see a CFL team before the Maritimes.
Now with that being said if you have the building and the owner I do think the CFL would expand.

The expansion is a slam dunk - it's the other way around in fact: without the guarantee of a team, City Council would not have okayed the Landsdowne reno. The stadium plans are gorgeous, BTW! 24000 seats, with 21000 more temporary hidden somehow in its curved walls.
I'd like to see Quebec City get a team, but the NHL will one day be back in QC and a market of 750000 won't support both, so the CFL will more likely go to the East Coast IMO. Of course, we've been having this discussion for 30 years and they haven't gone to either spot yet. |
