I've zipped up some schematics and jpgs for the design of a scoreboard. It's an earlier scoreboard design of mine that uses electronic logic rather than programming logic.
The schematics are for a 3 digit, 5 minutes clock. There is also a period display and a score counter for team A and team B. There is the potential for seriously customizing this board if you are prepared to put the time in.
The schematic is made using a program called ExpressPCB. Link is http://www.expresspcb.com/ . I use the schematic program quite a bit and their pcb design program too.
I have not included a parts list, but pretty much everything is labelled on the various schematics that are included. I've included a readme text file in the zip archive.
I've put the zip of the file on my personal website, but ultimately hope to have it available in the download section of this site.
I'm fine with providing support. I can be contacted through the forum.

Separately, I'm really close to releasing some pics of the electronic guts of my latest design. _________________ Cheers,

That would be great Paul. I can email the archive to you if you would like. _________________ Cheers,

Not sure if this got loaded onto the site, but I would be super interested in the diagrams. I would like to do a Gondola style scoreboard and have not much idea where to start. _________________ Keepin' it Wheel! |

I'm going to take a shot of modifying a Carrom Air Hockey Scoreboard for my Benej.
Here's the unit:

From my first pass, I don't think that there's a reliable way to make the switches from this Carrom unit work for a tiny Benej puck. Also, there's a lot of clearance required for the goalie's control stick above the puck catcher. As a result, I'm going to use manual buttons mounted on the side of the Benej near the existing goal counter pegs. Here's the switch I'm planning to use:

I can't find any information online about the length of the periods. Hopefully it's 3 minutes. It would be nice if the time was programmable.
One of the models says the following about this scoring unit: AC adapter/battery operated electronic scoring unit celebrates goals with light and sound.
We'll see how well it works... |

| I got the scoreboard in the mail today. This should work pretty well. I'll post some pictures when I finish the mod. The only downside is that the periods are two minutes instead of the preferred three minutes. |
