Hey everybody. Happy New Year to all of you.

Out of respect to the organizers in Southern California and Binghamton, I'll hold off on the major hype of the Detroit tournament weekend until later.

But it's after the first of the year and I did want to get some basic tournament info into everyone's hands. These things sneak up on ya so quickly.

Save the dates: March 23-24, 2012

We'll be playing the Stiga tournament on Saturday, March 24.

And we're bringing back the Coleco tournament on Friday, March 23.

Back at the Embassy Suites Livonia. There's a hotel group rate of $89 a night, but you have to book that by March 2. Embassy Suites Livonia, 19525 Victor Parkway Livonia, MI 48152, (734) 462-6000 and ask for the "Stiga North American Championships" block.

Erik, Thanks for considering the Coleco portion of the event this year.
I will announce that this will be one of a few events I will attend outside of Canada this year.
I look forward to defending my title from two years ago.

Had an hour on the access channel Bright House tonight showing the SNAC 2011 finals between Bjarne and Kent on tonight.

Had commericals with info about the tournament and such. Would be nice if we can get a few people for the tourney using this method.

I have the two videos with SNAC commercials on that Westetrn Oakland county station that they said would be on next week. They even have internet log access to see it.

Will tell you guys when they are on

It will sponsor commercials for the SNAC tournament .

We're holding off on player announcements and postings out of courtesy to the Binghampton organizers. Once their window is closed, Detroit hype can begin.

Hey everyone. Congrats to all of the Binghamton winners and to Mike Horan and Jerry Kiballa for putting on another fine event.

Next up on the tour is the tournament in suburban Detroit. It's coming up in a little more than a month. It's shaping up to be a fun weekend of table hockey.

Mr. Paul Ruiz has updated the player list for both the Coleco and Stiga events.

We'll be adding more players to the list in the coming days as the confirmations keep rolling in. Early response has been so great, I'm mulling my options on how to get a few more games.

We're excited to be holding the tournament once again with help from Paul Ruiz, CAGA, Mr. Paul Brotz, the DTHL and others.

You'll see a jump in the number of registered players when Mr. Paul Ruiz updates the SNAC Stiga player list in the next day or two.

Among the new entries: a pair of European players, a family of five from the Detroit area and a player who recently made his first tournament finals.

Hello all. I just made my hotel reservation for the big table hockey weekend in Detroit on March 23-24.

The group rate of $89 a night for a two-room suite is good through March 2. That’s coming up in less than two weeks.

We've got a major addition to the player list dropping soon.

A dozen new ones, including some names you know and a name from the past with his friends.

That puts us at 41 for the Stiga. Still a month or so until the tournament weekend, so please consider joining us. It's shaping up to be fun.

I put in an order today for another five new Play Off games.

When the new names hit, we'll also be up to 12 for Coleco on Friday night.

Mr. Ruiz has updated the player list...thank you, Paul...and there are 41 names up there.

We've got a Gatineau contingent. Eric Desjardins and Alain Gamache are very talented players. And Stephen Klump...man, tough to keep up with that guy's speed and tenacity. And especially the speed.

More international flavor added as well: we've got four Russian players. A pair of couples.

Alexander Kukushkin finished fourth in the 2004 Boston tournament. And I don't know that Mihail Margolis has come to North America to play, but I think he's top-250 on the ITHF world ranking.

And good to have Dustin Boyle of the Madison Resistance THL and James Craib, a recruit of Mr. Tim Walker, in the fold as well.

Excited about how things are shaping up. On the Coleco side, two of the Gat guys are game for playing Coleco if they arrive on time.

As a reminder, the group rate of $89 at the Embassy Suites Livonia (site of the tournaments) needs to be booked by Friday, March 2.

All the rooms at the hotel are suites. If you get the twin beds and use the rollaway in the other room, you could triple up. Plus the breakfast is usually pretty good. They'll make you an omelette in addition to the buffet.

You flatter me, but both Alain and Eric are faster and more precise than I am.

The most improved is François P. He is very hard to put away.

Gatineau's best player, David, won't make the trip, since his wife is about to pop (thankfully there is no such emoticon).

This tournament is looking big. It promises to be fun!

It would be great to get 50 guys for Saturday, the NA Stiga Championships... Livonia is just outside Detroit in a nice clean area, easy access from the highways...Eric will run a clean smooth event with no timing or scoring issues...Plus it has people from four countires Cheers

So Mr. Ruiz has graciously updated the player list.

We're at 45 for Stiga and 14 for Coleco.

New Stiga additions include the always-tough Dr. Kevin Rafferty, Eugene Kurz who organized the successful Toronto tournament last November, and Mr. Ron Marsik, Chicago table hockey legend who faced Bjarne Axelsen in the U.S. Open finals last summer.

We've got some slots still open for both events.
