|
|
Hi,
New to the forum. Long love Table Hockey. Just recieved my Benej table last week and am hoping someone out there can offer good advice on decaling the game.Through photoshop I have created the Islanders from the Mid 70's and am working currently on the Rangers of the 70's. I want to make the game with center ice logo's and board/glass decals(Fans in the stands). Wondering from seeing some art work on some of the games if anyone can advise to the best process of decaling the ice. Any tips, advice on how and what to use would be appriciated. the boards I could use clear decal paper but I do not think this would last for the surface.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing your advice

Here's what I have did. I hope its helps you out.
I printed out my decals on Avery Full Size clear label paper.
Then I spray painted with Krylon Clear (Satin finish).
After a 2nd coat, I cut the decals and pasted them on the ice.
I have tried Krylon Clear with Gloss and semigloss but I don't like it as much, because it seems to slow the puck down.
You can also skip the clear coat, but remember the colors will run if you have an accident and spill water or paint thinner on the decal.
If you go to a print shop and use their printer, the decals will literally JUMP out at you and it costs 50 cents per sheet to print. A box of 10 clear full size labels will set you back about $13. Well worth it. There are some folks who laminate the whole surface after doing the artwork. I would think that is a more expensive proposition.
Good Luck! |

Hi Thanks,
Somewhat as to what I was thinking, issue is clear coating the label and slowing the surface. Looking into silk screening as a possible solution but need to get more info on this. Avery clear would work great for board ads without a doubt.
The technique you described is exactly ho to custom Mcfarlane figures as well
Thanks,
