| I am looking for a set of Munro 1960 metal PHILADELPHIA FLYERS. I searched ebay and craigslist but very hard to find. Any other ideas???? |

| Could be difficult to find as the metal Philly players were not made for very long. Good luck. |

The 6 expansion Munro tin teams have 2 variations.
The 1st 1s are quite rare, anyways, Philly is the 1 team with 3 variations
(the 3rd is very subtle).
A 4th;
The plastic world cup Canada vs CCCP teams are identical to Detroit
and Philly with different letters (team names). The WHA white vs blue
are NY vs Chi with diff names.
The last Munro players changed faces uniforms for the last 4 teams-
and the goalies had Plante/Parent style masks- NYC looks best imo.
ideas? if your willing to buy other players and or a gm as well, e-bay,
if your patient you may get them as a single lot. |

Just for correctness' sake, Munro never made the Philadelphia Flyers. They made a team with orange uniforms that looked something like the Flyers but they were just "Philadelphia." No NHL affiliation.
That said, I have a good set of these players in tin, minus a goalie if you are interested. email sgvette@aol.com. I also have a mint unused complete set available, but they are part of a boxed set of the entire league. Expensive. |
