Happy to announce that Sean and Brian Rafferty, the sons of Dr. Kevin Rafferty, will be playing at the Stiga U.S. Open on July 21.
We expect to add some more names to the Stiga and Coleco U.S. Open lists as well.
Come on out and join us.

Another top player has signed up for COLECO U.S. OPEN.
It's Ron Marsik, table hockey legend. He's fresh off his big Munro win up at Casa de Super Dave last month.
Come play ol' Slowhand on the Coleco games in suburban Chicago on Friday, July 20.

We're happy to announce that Michael Brossard, ranked 12th in the HTQ tour, has signed up to join us on July 20 for the COLECO US Open.
If I'm counting correctly, that makes five of the top 15 from the HTQ rankings coming to Lemont for some Coleco action. We've got enough games to accommodate some more players. So come on out and join us.
Happy 4th to everyone! |

Good morning. Added a few more players to the list for the Stiga/Coleco U.S. Open weekend taking place in two weeks.
Kevin Williams will be there once again shooting video for his YouTube table hockey channel.
I know Jim has a couple of big announcements in the coming days, so check back in this space for more.

Can you please answer a few questions regarding Friday night's coleco event? Its been awhile .
First off, the matches are five minutes running time, yes?
2nd, how high are the games? How many inches from the floor to the rods.
Third, do the matches have refs, ala HSTQ, or are the rules different (i.e. refs for playoffs only, etc).
Finally, how are faceoffs handled with a running clock and no refs?? Just drop them stiga style or is it ready ready go?
Thanks! |

2008 CHAMP BOB INGO SIGNS FOR COLECO U.S. OPEN ! ! ! ! !
Hello Everybody. 2008 Coleco U.S. Open Champion Bob Ingo is all in and ready toRock in Lemont for the first event of 2012 Classic Table Hockey Series!!!!!!!!
Its was Bobs first ever Table Hockey Tournament and still Bob cut thru the field and thrashed his way to the finals vs Marinoff back in 08. In the end we wereall left slackjawed and dismantled . He was on on it and it was really a unrealdisplay on that day. Best we have seen him. Can Lightning Strike Twice??? Its been 4 years folks.. Can this happen again? We are about to find out.
Big THANK YOU to Carlo Bossio, Burt Brassard and Dr. Lou Marinoff for this ExCiTiNg orginized 5380 effort!
Lots of players signing up ==>

Hey people.
Added another player to the list today. He's from Madison and likes to play D.
Heard a rumor about free beer at the Stiga tournament, but I think the guy was just a little tipsy. |

Am told that Ventura Sias of Chicago's Southwest Side will be joining us for the Stiga tournament on Saturday. Strong suspicion here says the free beer after 5 p.m. put him over the top.
Darwin Sampson, the leader of the Madison Resistance, intends to try his hand at Coleco on Friday night. |

Good luck to everyone participating this year in Chicago. Remember, friends don't let friends play Stiga drunk! _________________ "my dad says you don't try hard enough; except in the playoffs" |

Thanks, Jay. Appreciate your well wishes.
Heck, I'm so naturally *not* talented at table hockey that I save my drinking for after I've been eliminated. I need every reflex I have to be firing 100 percent so I don't embarrass myself. Even then, it doesn't always work.
We've served beer at the Lithuanian Center every year of the event's existence. Each year, we've had a bartender there to make sure folks drink responsibly. That'll be the case again this year.

Hey everybody. Up late doing some tournament prep.
Did the name tags tonight.
Here's what it looks like by the numbers. We have players from:
*2 countries
*7 states and two provinces
*9 leagues (8 Stiga and the MTL Coleco league)
Starting to get excited...Thursday is setup and Pierre arrives.

So we are setting up for the Coleco event at the VFW. Then it's on to Stiga setup at the Lit Center gym.
I'll post some pics on the USTHA Twitter feed.
You can see them here: http://www.twitter.com/USTableHockey

I've updated the player list, pruning off a couple players who can't make it (Jeff Thill couldn't get off of work).
Also added a late sign up to the Coleco event this evening. It's Mr. John Fayolle of New York City. We're happy he's coming and are looking forward to meeting him.
