The Detroit Table Hockey League convened Thursday ( Jan 5 th ) night at the Duff Fieldhouse for our 2nd dog fight of the season .
Two brave young men ( 20's ) turned up by invite . James and Tony who work with founder Tim Walker accepted the challenge and showed up to make up two thirds of the " B " division . The newbies had a blast as young Henry Walker schooled them on how to win the night .
With more new players on the way the " B " ranks should be a lot of fun to watch and see the growth and field all the questions .
" B " Standings : H. Walker 16pts
T. Orlando 8 pts
J . Craig 6 pts
In the "A" div Paul Shabi came out growling and barking taking the first three games of the round robin by some lopsided scores . But Walker managed to regain some wits about him and take five of the next seven to split the RR portion of the night both ending up at 5-5 .
Because of the tie in games won in the RR part of the night , the RR goes to Paul Shabi based on the plus minus differential which was a + 5 for Shabi .
There are never any ties in the DTHL ... never .
The playoffs began and Walker then on a roll and playing much better defense took the best of five playoffs series 4 -1, 1- 3 , 4 -1 , and 6 -1. to win the playoff portion of the evening .
The "A" div standings after two nites stands at :
T. Walker 38 pts
P. Shabi 26 pts
Our next night of barken will be Jan 19  |

The DTHL finally finished up our 2011 /12 season in late June , here are our final standings ...
In the "B" div. Henry Walker ran away with the top spot over first year guy James Craib.
In the "A" div the final point tally for ten nights went as follows :
1 ) T. Walker 133 pts
2) P. Shabi 104 pts
3 ) T. Warren 19 pts
4 ) K. Richter 18 pts
5 ) H. Walker 0 pts
The DTHL will begin again this Oct with both the Stiga board and the Benej game .
As always the fur will fly at the Duff Fieldhouse ... |
