Fairly new member here and this is the scoop. I got 3 guys that like to play on a weekly basis, but we'd like to each own a game and have a travelling circuit. Not that it matters, but we're all between 55 and 65 and live in Ontario, Canada. I own a Stiga Stanley Cup game, and we're looking at getting a couple different games, but it appears that Stiga and Franklin are the only mfrs producing new games. Any thoughts on the Franklin units and any ideas on other games? I've had an ad on Kijiji for a month now and all I've gotten in response are 2 guys that want a small fortune for their broken or parts missing games. I'd really appreciate any insights into how we should proceed. Thanks for the read. Confused

We're in Windsor. Not really sure about league play, just a few old boys looking to relive part of our childhood, I guess.
Very Happy

CAGA Detroit Table Hockey is based out in Livonia, Michigan. It is about 20 minutes west from the Ambassador Bridge from Windsor. We are on our off season right now, but are planning to start our league nights once again (for our 7th year) in October, but we are also discussing about having a monthly tournament at a hobby shop in Livonia on a Sunday afternoon for the months between October to March.

If your interested in any details, pleae contact Kevin at cagahockey@gmail.com

I guarantee you will have an entirely new dimension of fun if you try visiting a league for a session. Especially on Stiga, you will see many different styles and tricks that you might not have imagined. The more of them you go up against, the better you will be. The stronger you get, the more fun it becomes.

There are a couple of leagues in Detroit if I remember correctly.

Well, I bought a Franklin Pro Rod Hockey game off Kijiji today for a song, and it's in great shape with all players and 2 pucks. Tried it at the guy's house and everything works perfectly. It wasn't till I brought it home that I realized that the players revolved backward compared to my Stiga. Too bad, but I guess it's going back on Kijiji. No way will we be able to play on both games. Any recommendations on which games we should be looking at?? Thanks

Definitely if you have passports, you owe it to yourselves to check out the Detroit leagues. CAGA is full of good people, fun to play with. If you get to the point where you want to see what's possible on Stiga, arrange a meeting in the (Shabi/Warren) DTHL. I may have the leagues mixed up.

And while you're down there you can fill up on what they think is expensive gasoline Rolling On Floor Laughing

OK, I think we're making some progress. Went to a flea market today and found a Coleco Pro Stars game in good working condition for $20, complete with Toronto and Vancouver teams. I need to find out where I can get 1 forward rod (actually, just the part that slides the playeron the table would be good). As well, does anyone have a puck for this game that they could measure and take a photo of? Thanks (Wooooohooooo!!!)

Sorry, we also need 1 rod tip for the defenseman. Any help or ideas where we could get this stuff would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey Kevin!

I have two questions for you. One is, what happened to Saturdays for the tournaments? And another is, why play at the hobby shop and not the public library. Also, if it happens. Is it going to be like 3 years ago. Fees, trophies/medals, overall point championship trophy, formats, etc.

Best,
Paul S.

Pro Stars is long dead, for good reason. Pro Stars make Franklin seem like Body Check.

Although if you enjoy PP2, you will probably find Pro Stars OK: springs, tiny surface, and that slot plan where the D hook off to the boards.
