Hello,

So, I have been to STIGA Tournaments/Events in Detroit, Chicago, and Toronto so far. And I see that on the games, the legs have bottle caps with resin on them followed by sticky tape. My question (s) are:

What kind of resin do you use?
What bottle caps do I need? Pop Bottles?

Thanks!
Paul S.

Any pop bottle top will do, as long as it is completely flat on top. Many are now slightly beveled and will not hold well.
Liquid nails works well. It can be found at any hardware store. It takes about 30 days to completely harden.

Thanks John!
So Liquid Nails is the thing to use right?
So how would you do it to get that hole for the legs without making any slight errors on it?

Use a bit of super glue to position the piece in the center of the bottle cap, first. Let it dry for about an hour and then plug the hole with something that can be removed easily. I use a 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inch piece of wet newspaper rolled up between my fingers and then fill the hole with the newspaper wad with a small portion sticking up so I can remove it later on.

Fill the remaining space with Liquid Nails and smooth it out with your finger. Let it dry for a few days. The top hardens while the interior is still wet. You can now, gently, push it all down and remove any air pockets. (This and the drying process will make the liquid nails compress, so you may have to add a little more) Smooth it out again and let it dry for about 30 days, then you can remove the newspaper wad.
