Hello. Just parking this post here so I have something to work off of tonight. We'll post some results assuming the air card I'm borrowing works from Lemont...Eric

An amazing cinderella story out of chicago tonight. Bob Ingo, who had never played in a sanctioned table hockey tournament before tonight, blew past the competition and won the whole thing.

Ingo upended dr. Lou marinoff 4 to 2 in a best of seven finals to win the coleco us open. More on this amazing feat by a rookie later.

Third was denis maille over jim rzonca.

B pool winner is john medema. Down 2 games to none in a best of five fonal, medema dug deep and came all the way back to win the trophy.

Third was eric krol over john labianca.

Air card didn't work at vfw and neither did blackberry. I'll post full results when I get home.

Time to do it all again tomorrow with the stiga.

16 players for coleco.

I have to say, I've been playing/organizing table hockey non-stop since 2002 and I have never been prouder of a player than I am tonight. Bob Ingo showed skill, guts and determination and big-game ability.

As I told the guys before Jim presented him with the trophy, you kind of got an idea on Wednesday night during practice that Ingo had something going on. But it was a tournament with some talented players. So you thought maybe he'd make the A pool. But Mr. Ingo didn't stop there. He made a big run and didn't fold when Mr. Marinoff came back to tie the series at 2. Just some clutch goals.

Now lemme find that spreadsheet with the round robin results...

Cool Sorry Guys, I should say congratulations to all the competitors that participated in the tournament. It played out very interestingly as I studied it after just checking out who won.
Way to go Jim, as usual you put on a fine tournament.
By the way put my name on the list for next years tournament as I will be there.

Thanks Superdave.

I had some very special people encouraging me along the way. That's what made the difference.

It was a wonderful blessing for me to be there.

Reggie was late due to airport delays.

As for Bernie, we're not certain, but we think Bruce Turner gave Bernie the driving directions to Navy Pier on Chicago's lakefront instead of to the Lemont VFW. We'll know for sure on Saturday if Bernie shows up with sunburn.

Thank you Johnny. God richly blessed me Friday night in two ways:

Firstly, I got the pleasure of meeting many of the well known table hockey players from out of town. You guys were all great to me!

Secondly, I got to experience how Rocky felt when he beat Apollo Creed.

Hi Bob,

As I mentioned in my private Emails to you, I thought your winning the recent Coleco event is the kind of stuff dreams are made of.

You have been compared to Rocky. I don't like comparing you to a fictional character on steroids with more face lifts than Phylis Diller.

It would be more like 58 year old Nel Accem striking out Punkinhead Bonds.

I was just wondering why you didn't play in the Stiga event and take a shot at the overall crown?

Nel Accem Cheers
