Man, would love to play in a Munro league, especially one run by as fine a gentleman as John Medema.

Figure maybe they'll only keep me working on Saturday nights for a couple more years, so maybe down the road. Smile

Thanks for the kind remark, guys. I'll try to keep it going as long as the games hold up.

Reg: Rose says, "Thanks for the books." Her kids love them, especially the illustrations.

Seriously, Kevin. Videos? I think you have a better chance of catching some of us on America's Most Wanted. I'm always trying to improve things any way that I can, but I'm taking my time, one thing at a time. Baby-steps.

Eric, you're #2 on the waiting list if you ever get Saturday nights free. I'll make the games available anytime if you feel the need to knock the puck around. In fact all my games are available. I bought them and fixed them up so they would be used.

We just wrapped up our second season tonight with the playoffs. In the Campbell Conference the playoffs finished exactly as the regilar season standings. Ron Marsik took first, Jim Rzonca finished second and John Medema was in third.
In the Prince of Wales Conference, Matt Medema finished in first. The regular season champ, Jim Sluis, came in second. He will be promoted to the Campbell Conference next year based on his regular season finish. Rookie of the year, Jim Havlin, took third in a hard fought series with JP Goldrick.

My thanks to all the members for the spirited competition and good comraderie to make it a great season and league this year.

I'll have the final results and pictures up on the website sometime this week.

I've got the website up and running now. http://ttthc.webs.com

All the playoff information is there, as well as pictures for the regular season awards and the playoffs.

We had a BLAST this year! Thanks, Guys.

Next season starts in April 2011.

Many questions need to answered for next season. Will there be any new players joining for next season? How will Jim Sluis do in the Campbell Conference now that he has been promoted? Can anyone beat Ron Marsik and dethrone him? Will Dan Lord EVER show up on time?

Very excited for my first TTTHC league night tonight.

Have almost zero Munro experience and none on this particular game. But nine years of playing TH more or less non-stop should help me a bit, I would think.

Also will be great to show up and just play without other worries.

Face off in a couple hours...

The name John Medema is synonymous with the word class. Anyone who has had the pleasure of the man's company knows this immediately and definitely.
I've been to the Medema garage and seen the games and they are a reflection of the man himself. Thus, all the players in TTTHC are recipients of a glittering prize--and Im not talking about table hockey games. The same could be said for Dwayne Stegner. Munro, Class, Friendship.

There are potholes in Chicago . . . so too are there pots of gold. The TTTHC, MHL and WTHA are pots of gold that shine bright and loom large.
I've played in the MHL and the WTHA, so I can speak from experience.

Never played in the TTTHC, but I know John and so can recognize the shine from afar Clapping Have a Great Season My Friend! And run it up on that Marsik guy Shocked !!!!!

ps: Send my best to JP Goldrick! Cheers

Thanks, John. We're looking forward to having a great season.
We had a very good first night on Sat. and it looks to be a very competitive season. The weather has been great for most sessions over the last 2+ years. The only discomfort has been an occasional heat wave during the summer and the inevitable invasion of the mid-summer flying bugs. All very workable, but inherit when you play in an open garage. We've been blessed so far.
Marsik dominated again, but someday we'll get to him. The results are already posted. http://ttthc.webs.com
Thanks for your support & kind words.

We played Week 2 of the 2011 Munro league season last night. It was a lot of fun. John Medema does a great job. A very relaxed, fun vibe. Puck droppers are excellent.

Ron Marsik just continues to dominate. I'm new to Munro (played Coleco s-slot as a kid) and it really seems that Ron's famous slowhand style is perfectly suited for Munro. Was the ref for his first loss of the season...and he only lost b/c his opponent had the puck for about 4 minutes of a 5 minute stop-time game.

The league setup sees you play everyone in your division twice each night, and everyone in the other division once. I was happy that even though I'm a newcomer only in my second week, I went 2-3-1 against the top guys. Of course, Ron pummeled me again, 10-1. It was like playing Jacob Lindahl on Stiga in that first Vegas tournament....score probably could have been 20-1.

Tonight, we play Stiga. In a few weeks, we've got a 5380 Coleco tournament. Lucky to be in a place where I can still play so much TH.

Thanks for the well wishes guys. It continues to fun everytime. We have a great collection of members that make it all happen, and I am grateful for their participation, dedication and cooperation. We play by the 3 "C's" here: Cordial, Competitive, and Casual.

The rods have been taking a beating lately, but we will continue as long as the games hold up. The biggest obstacle that I have is finding replacement parts from 1963. These games are very unique so I have trouble substituting parts from games from other years.

Ron Marsik is dominating again this year. I checked the records this morning and he has been defeated only 6 times in 3 seasons, including playoffs.

The results are completed and the website is updated now if anyone wants to check out the pictures or statistics.

Here's a picture from Saturday night with Matt Medema (right) showing Dan Lord that Campbell Conference players should not take Prince of Wales Conference players too lightly by defeating him 5 - 3.

OK, I'm officially old now. I became a Grandfather last night. Everyone is doing well.
I will put him on the waiting list to get into TTTHC and start his training schedule as soon as he is able to stand on his own.

Playoff Results: Prince of Wales Conference

We had to split our playoffs between 2 evenings due to a few schedule conflicts with the POW conference members. Friday POW, Saturday Campbell.
1st round
Jim Havlin over Bob Ingo 2 - 0
Matt Medema over JP Goldrick 2 - 0
2nd round
Eric Krol over Jim Havlin 3 - 0
Joe Salazar over Matt Medema 3 - 2
Finals
Eric Krol over Joe Salazar 4 - 2
Matt Medema over Jim Havlin 2 - 0 for third place

Congratulations, Eric Krol, Prince of Wales Conference Champion for 2011!
Joe Salazar, as the regular season winner, will be promoted to the Campbell Conference for next season.

Campbell Conference tonight 7:00. I am expecting Kevin Williams, from Detroit, to be here also to visit and video tape some of the games.
Will Ron Marsik be able to defend his title and be a three time champ and add to his trophy collection?

Thanks guys, for another great season!

Playoff results Campbell Conference:

1st round:
Dan Lord over Jim Sluis 2 - 0
John Medema over Joe Rozanski 2 - 0

2nd round:
Ron Marsik over John Medema 3 - 0
Dan Lord over Jim Rzonca 3 - 2

Finals:
Dan Lord over Ron Marsik 4 - 2
Congratulations to Dan Lord on winning the Campbell Conference for 2011! No 3peat for Ron and it sets up an interesting rivalry for next year.

Third place Jim Rzonca over John Medema 2 - 0

It was good to have Kevin Williams visit and film some of the finals.

Thanks for another great season everyone and we'll be ready to start all over for our 4th season next April.

Getting excited...John Medema's Munro league starts up again this Saturday.

Could accommodate one more player if anyone in the Chicago area is interested in coming out for the six dates and playoffs.

That's right, Eric. I'm still excited about starting our 4th season.
We still do have 1 opening in the Prince of Wales Conference for any newbie to fill (or vet) Life got too busy for Bob Ingo & Joe Rozanski couldn't fit it in around his new job. I got one off of the waiting list and the others couldn't fit it in for one reason or another.

Campbell Conference:
Dan Lord
Ron Marsik
Jim Rzonca
John Medema
Joe Salazar (newly promoted)
Jim Sluis (was scheduled for relegation, but retained his spot when Joe R dropped)

Prince of Wales Conference:
Erik Krol
Matt Medema
Jim Havlin
JP Goldrick
Joe Young (New Member - WELCOME!)
??one spot to fill??

The weather looks like it will cooperate again. We play April - October because of the set up in my garage and it's usually too cold from Nov - March.
Drop by if you feel so inclined. You will be welcomed and join in the fray. Baptism by fire.

Most importantly we have a good atmosphere here: Cordial, Competitive, and Casual

If you want to keep up with our season go to http://ttthc.webs.com

Well, we picked up our 12th man today. Chad Richard, from Tinley Park, is one of Matts' buddies and has attended a few hockeypaloozas in the past. Welcome Chad!

Correction: Chad Ritchard. Still pronounced like the hockey player (Henri)

Fabulous opening night, I'll have the stats on the website in a few days, all topped off with a Blackhawks win in OT.
