Nobody should feel bad for Philly fans. Only the Canadiens have been to the finals more times than the Flyers since expansion in 1967. Look it up!

We've had our fair share of parades down Broad street since the Flyers showed Philadelphia how to win in the 70's. Phillies, Sixers and Flyers....The Eagles haven't won since 60, but they've been to the Super Bowl 2X and are a contender every year. Philly is a terrific sports town. Outsiders will NEVER understand why we boo primadonas.

Detroit has had a few parades, but they usually end in riots. Pittsburgh has a football dynasty, and you gotta root for the Pens...playing in that godforsaken pit! Some towns have had zero-point-zero sucsess.

Flyers need to win 2X to get past the Pens. There are a lot of caca filled black and yellow diapers flying to Philly
for game 6.

Labs.... I have a 33-1 ticket in my pocket for the Flyers to win the Cup. What kind of odds can I get today? Rolling On Floor Laughing

Flyers are 40 to 1 at the Palms(i called) and 25 to 1 at the Flamingo (per Vegas Jay) But my friend said you can find 50 to 1 off-shore maybe. Most future book odds(SUPERBOWL,WS) in Las Vegas stink.

Rodwarniors..33-1 sounds about right to me! Laughing

The Pens have played uninspired hockey the last 3 games and still lead the series. Most folks think this going to go to a game 7 because the next game is in Philly (a town I actually really like to visit...but I wouldn't want to live there). I say either the two headed beast of Crosby and Malkin carry the day for us or Marc Andre Fluery steals another one and we move on to the next round. Either way, our team needs to play through-out the playoffs with an intensity that I haven't seen since games 1 and 2. If they continue to just go through the motions we won't make it much further than the next round. We need some production from our 3rd and 4th lines (I don't count the Talbot empty-netter), the wingers for Crosby and Malkin could maybe lend a hand and our D needs to do a better job of clearing the zone when they get a stick on the puck. That said... the Cryers have out worked us the last three games... a fact I am willing to admit.... just don't count on that to continue.

LET'S GO PENS!!!! Boxing

You wouldn't want to live in Philly? Who the heck would want to live in Pittsburgh? The Pens have been outplayed and yes the Flyers should be up in the series 3-2. Fleury stole game 4 which is what every playoff teams needs from their goalie this time of year. Biron needed to be his best in game 5 and voila, he was. I've been down on the Flyers this series only cause they don't seem to play a full 60 minutes every game but that has been a problem with them all year. It was great seeing Crosby get tag teamed last night. Speaking of Cindy:

Advantage -Philly

But Cleveland is just a City... New Jersey is a whole freakin' state.... so that kind of out does the Cleveland thing.

Oh and the Primanti Bros Sandwich is considered the best sandwich in the U.S by two Iron Chefs.... Mario Batali and Bobby Flay.... Bobby Flay went so far as to call Pittsburgh the 'Sandwich Capital of the World'

Rather go to the beach there than the shores of the Allegheny or Monongahela rivers.

It's almost a requirement!! You just have to make sure to get the tarp to line the trunk properly so the water and ice doesn't rust out the trunk from the inside. Razz

I hate opinions. They are like a**holes, everyone has one. Two iron chefs, who gives a F? Is this a certain kind of sandwich or just a deli that happens to have many different good sandwiches?

But you have to admit that they might have a good idea of what they are talking about.... I mean... you know ... IRON CHEF.

And its a type of sandwich!! Although it has many variations just like a cheesesteak.

Was on their website. That sandwich looks disgusting! How many grams of fat are in that thing? One of the ladies I work with was just telling me about the place. She is from Pittsburgh. Bring one with you to Vegas next year.

Realistically, is Pittsburgh really a "city" ? Pittsburgh has 300,000 people. Philadelphia nearly 6 million.

If you wanted to rob or murder someone, it's a lot easier to find victims in Philly.

For those who believe New Jersey to be that stretch of road accross from New York as depicted in the opening scene of Soprano's episodes, here are some New Jersey facts to amaze and confuse even the smartest West Virginian

New Jersey has more race horses than Kentucky
There are more Cubans in Jersey City than there are in Havana
New Jersey has 50+ Cool resort cities and towns; some of the countries most famous.
New Jersey has the most stringent water testing standards of any seaboard state
New Jersey produces more blueberries and cranberries than any other state
In 1642, the first brewery Cheers in the US opened in Hoboken , NJ(also where the first baseball game was played and the birthplace of Frank Sinatra)
The Les Paul guitar Rasta was invented in Mahwah, NJ in 1940

Southern New Jersey is mostly comprised of farms, state forests and beach communities.

We also have the highest property taxes in the US, the most Diners, and on an on and on and on. Cheers Devil
