Hello all. I've updated the USTHA web site with information about the Binghamton tournament.
It's the second year for this tournament in upstate New York.
Date is Saturday, Nov. 21.
More information is available here:
http://www.freewebs.com/bathl/09battleatbinghamton.htm
And, as always, http://www.ustha.com
It's the next Stiga tournament scheduled after Edmonton. A good chance to get in some fun table hockey action. |

Sorry for not getting out to some of the Stiga events outside of the area, but life changes require for me to remain local.
The Battle of Binghampton I was excellent in every way last year I can only remember good things about Binghampton. I'm sure the guys (Mike and Jerry) will make this years "Battle" even better.
With no Gatineau, perhaps some Eastern Canadian players will be making the 5 hour trip to Binghampton? It was a Bernie vs Kenny Finals last year, but how about Junior, Huges, Pascal, Bruce and all the other Gatineau regulars?
The food alone is worth the price of admission!

Yes the food was AWESOME! Best roast beef by far! It was unreal! The skybox was really great! And then Kenny and myself played at centre ice!
It was all really great! But for myself I just recently landed a new job but it is afternoon shift 3:15pm to 11:15pm. So now my so called Table Hockey career is on hold! I kinda figured this would happen so I got Montreal Rose Bowl World Cup Hungary and US Open Chicago in before this! So now I am not sure about future tournies! I would love to do Binghampton again! But if I can`t I can tell you that Binghampton was super great! If you can go then do it! Because afterall life is too short so "GO FOR IT"!!!!!!!!!!

Bernie...you cant make Binghampton? There's always good from bad... More roast beef and one less loss for me!
If something changes maybe you make a day trip. Doesn't the new boss understand your priorties?
Hope to see you anyways and I'm glad you are working!

Those who are looking ahead at STIGA tournaments in the next few months please make note there will NOT be a Gatineau event in October.
The tournament schedule still lists Gatineau ..... Binghampton isn't listed yet.
BINGHAMPTON is scheduled for November 21st. It's only a few hours for many Canadian players. I hope to see you this year!

Hello all. Saw this posted on the other table hockey message board and wanted to make sure everyone here saw it.
Binghamton is the next tournament on the schedule...a Northeast event that got excellent reviews last year from those who attended...
Things are rapidly progressig in preparation for the 2nd Annual "Battle at Binghamton". I enccourage any interested players to come and attend especially those with 4-5 hour driving distance. We are fairly centrally located between Ottawa, Boston, Hartford, and Philly and I believe we will make your trip worth while. The Groveland,MA area has a pool of talented players who made the Hartford Open earlier this year. Please consider joining some of your local players and get back out on the tour. A special appeal to the players to our North. As new organizers of a tournament we made the trip up to Gatineau last year. It is disappointing that Gatineau will not host an event this year. We had a great time up North and invite you down south to do the same. Side note #1: Binghamton is located about 1.25 hours away from the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Several plaers expressed an interest to make a visit either a day before or a day after our event. I would be glad to accompany a group of interested fans. (I haven't attended in over 30 years). Side note #2: Immediately following the tournament we have the opportunity to go downstairs to attend an AHL game between the Binghamton Senators (Ottawa affiliate) vs, Albany River Rats (Carolina hurricanes affiliate). Please inquire in your registration if you would like ticket information.
Hope to see many of you at the Battle.
regards, Mike Horan |

Looks like the only Stiga tournaments during the next few months are Binghampton and Las Vegas.
How about a Binghampton list ?
Anybody? |

I see a trio of Gatineau guys have signed for the Binghamton tournament..they're up to 20 for the main tournament, plus a half-dozen college guys and there's the kid division as well.

I apologize that the Edmonton tournament logo is still tops on the USTHA web site main page, but I'm having some technical difficulties moving it down. A "nesting" problem, I am told. |

Sorry you cant make it Dan. Maybe next year? I heard from 2 more players from Canada last evening. Perhaps the 1st place trophy will be crossing the border this year?
I know there is a limit to the # of players who can participate in this event, but there is still time to get in. (not sure if you need a passport?) The homey atmosphere of Binghampton is a refreshing throw-back to a bygone era. |

Wow!!! I now see there are 8 Canadian players and a player from the Ukraine on the Binghampton list.
This is turning out to be a very nice gathering. For everybody who understands the work it takes to put together a major tournament....Thank You !
We are all in this Table Hockey "THING" together!

Attention all potential players of the Battle at Binghamton, Nov 21, 2009. We have been experiencing technical difficulties with our PayPal registration payments. The fee for this years tournament is $40. We have not been able to resolve a conflict with last years $35 fee so we have disabled the PayPal feature from the site. Those who have complete the registration already can pay the balance at the door. For those who still have not registered with payment please contact me via email. I will provide specific instructions for a proper PayPal or other payment. Remember only those who have completed payment arrangements will be offered the regular fee. All others will be expected to pay the increased Tournament Day Fee if the field is still open. Send email inquiry to: michael.horan@surescaneds.com
Sorry for any inconvenience,

Less than two weeks to go before the Battle at Binghamton II. Still time to get registered. So far, as many as 31 players in the main field, with a college kids thing and a younger kids thing also planned.
You can check out the player list here:

Good luck to all the players and organizers in Binghamton this weekend. Good vibes to you all.
Having played some of the guys on the list over the years, I'll go out on a limb and predict a Mike Caponetti - Alain Gamache finals. Or maybe Mike C-Eric Des Jardins.
All bets off if Mr. Maille makes it. Mr. Tough D for sure.
Check out the player list here: http://bathl.webs.com/registeredplayers.htm
Spent all my money (and Saturdays off work) getting to Edmonton this year, so I'm stuck in Chicago getting my butt handed to me in Coleco. Still, it's table hockey, so it's all good.
Best,
Eric |

| I'm picking Desjardins / C.Didomizio. I'm not familiar with the latest Montreal generation, they may be just that good too, from practising with the previous one. But I know Eric has just 5 losses in 45 games this season, in the NCR Select league, and is money under pressure. |
