Hey guys,

Has someone see this game on the Sears catalogue, looks like a 2-D table hockey game endorsed by the NHL (like the good old days of Coleco) with a electronic clock which can be served as a puck dropper.

If you guys have some more infos, feel free to drop a line at this forum.

Thanks, Benster

No, I did not find the game you are talking about. I searched at Sears USA and Sears Canada.

I found some others, such as Carrom, Franklin and Irwin products. Quite a few different games. And, this Hockey Night In Canada™ Official Air-powered Rod Hockey Table

I suppose if you saw it you could give us the web link.

Yep I seen it, it's in the Sears Wish Book catalogue in Canada. It definately looks like a more modern coleco game, the 2d plastic players look identical to the 1980's coleco players if you ask Smile me. Can't seem to find it on Sears.ca anywhere though....

I was curious so I checked out the Sears Xmas catalog -- not much info, but I scanned in the picture in case others were also curious:

(I quickly scanned in this picture before bed and didn't check the image size restrictions before I linked it into my post -- I hope it isn't too big Paul -- I'm hoping that if it was, it would either be auto-rejected (somehow) or wouldn't display nicely, so I'd get the hint and downsize it)...

Do you have the link for it? What 2 teams are on it? Could we be looking at new coleco men with updated teams, if it is a Licensed NHL game???

I have that catalogue to. The teams are the Leafs & Habs & they look to be the same Leafs & Habs from the 80's Coleco games. Brown pads & old school goalie masks. Someone needs to get this game & put the order form for parts & such & post it here so we can order teams like the Wild Sens & Aves, if they have them.

Cheers

Note the game dimensions are 19"W by 30-3/4" L.
My gut feeling is that this game will not play as well as longer (36") games.
I am certainly interested in others opinions/experiences.
Note also the apparently thicker grips.

Thanks for that Benster and Dwayne

Brilliant.

Bring back the Coleco and debut it in the Sears Wish Book.

Even in the video game age I hope it makes a lot of kids happy when they find it under the tree on Christmas morning. It would be great if this would turn a lot of them on to table hockey.

Hope this thing sells and they eventually move into making a bigger game.

Is that a puck return thingie on the back of the net?

These guys have a website Excalibur Electronics, but they do not show the hockey game. They do have an updated electronic football game, with dual controls.....I wonder what delivery time is? Also the ice surface looks like plastic...

Might be just me, but those appear to be 80's style Coleco stickers on the players. I wonder how they pulled that off? Perhaps this is not what they look like in the completed version of the game? It will be interesting to see. I popped into a Sear in Ottawa to have a look, but they did not carry it.

I've found over the years about 10 or so table hockey producers. Recently, trying to find more information on this Excalibur related company, I found what appears to be a Stiga clone, "SureShot" hockey and its cousin, "SureShot" soccer under the previously defunct toy company, "Ideal."

I'm curious, because a simple Google search does not produce, who or what entity is behind the Excalibur and SureShot products.

Hey guys,

Just saw this post. The company Excalibur is a joke. They came out with that crap electric football game that is abolutely worthless. They promised NFL licensed teams for months on end and kept pushing the dates back. Finally they pulled the plug and never did them. Now I guess they moved on to hockey. I highly doubt they even made the game. If they did I bet it's a worthless piece of junk not worth $9.99 let alone $99.99.

I'm still amazed that this stuff hits the electric football world first. I guess we're too hard on the companies so they leave us and try other venues.

I noticed the prior-lock-out Ottawa Senators logo on the side of the board. Strange for a new product ... It's been 5 years since they changed their primary logo. Also where are the side boards? The puck must come out of the game on a regular basis ... I must admit the scoreboard looks awesome!

Oh don't buy that. I have it, got it for $5 on Kijiji. It is perfect for very little kids.
