Lemont Table Hockey League Presents ~ CHICAGO STRAIGHT SLOT SERIES!!

Hello Everybody! The Lemont Table Hockey League will Face - Off for week #6 of the 2009 STIGA season on November 8th at 6:35 pm. We will be playing in the banquet room at VITO $ NICKS PIZZERIA in Lemont Illinois. The LTHL is a open league so as always you all are welcome to come and go as you like without a comitment to a full season. So Please feel free to stop in and join us at any time for a league date or one of our tournaments.

****CHICAGO STRAIGHT SLOT SERIES****

The Lemont Table Hockey League holds 23 Table Hockey dates per year. Along with the all year round STIGA seasons, the U.S. Open weekend, Stiga Las Vegas and the Coleco "S" Slot Series, the LTHL is now holding 3 COLECO STRAIGHT SLOT / Chicago Table Hockey League style tournament dates scheduled from November 22 2009 thru February 21st 2010.
They are neatly spaced apart on the calendar giveing us here in Chicagoland a nice COLECO Straight Slotted series to compete in and enjoy.
The games featured in these tournaments are fine tuned Original EAGLE TOYS #5200 COLECO 5340 & COLECO 5385 models with straight defencemen slots, plastic Coleco player figures with Original Coleco Banana Blades on the wings. The 3 dates for this series are....

CHICAGO STRAIGHT SLOT SHOOTOUT ~ NOVEMBER 22 2009 (5 minuite games)
COLECO SHARK TANK SHOOTOUT ~ JANUARY 4 2009 (10 minuite games)
CHICAGO STRAIGHT SLOT SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP ~ FEBRUARY 21 2010

At the conclusion of the Shark Tank the ** 4 ** players who have acumulated the most points will face - off for the CHICAGO STRAIGHT SLOT SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP to crown a Series Champion!

Hello Everybody! The Coleco Straight Shootout is next weekend and looks like it will be a strong turnout. Tables will be set next Sunday November 22nd at the VFW Post in Lemont Illinois. Face-off @1:35 pm. Price is $25 dollars. Trophies & Medals for 2 groups. Original Eagle / Coleco 5340 and "Big Orange" Coleco 5385 Defence Straight Slot games iin CTHL trim are featured in this event. Marsik 7 to 0 in game 7 to cap the comeback down from 3 games to 1 to winning the series. He really turned up the D.

It'll be Ron Marsik vs. Jeff Thill in the finals.

And Jim Rzonca vs. Dan Lord for third place in a short series.

I'm sure Jim will post the results when he gets home...I'm no longer there.

RON MARSIK is the Coleco Straight Shootout Champion!

Ron was 6th seed after the round robin but slowly got the feel of the Big Coleco games, banana blades while making adjustments as the day went on. Ron was down 3 games to 1 vs Dan Lord in the Semifinals but then shut down Lord winning 3 straight to capture the series 4 games to 3 advancing to the finals.

Next up for Ron was Shark Tank / MHL Champion Jeff Thill in the finals.
The series was 4 very tight checking games ==>

Great defence displayed by both players on these wide body big net Colecos!

In the end, Ron Marsiks sold defence was able to stop Thill's very potent offence along with a timely Overtime goal that got it done for Ron tonight.

Jan 3rd 2010 - Jeff Thill wins his 6th Coleco Shark Tank Shootout sweeping J. Rzonca in the final. Jeff was unbeatable today and did not lose a game. CONGRATULATIONS Jeff Thill!
Great hospitality as usual by Larry and Jim George of Vito & Nicks. Thanks to the Reporter who stayed for 2 hours covering the event. Story comes out on Jan 8th and BIG THANKS to all the players who continue to Support our LTHL events!
The Straight Slot Shoot and the Shark Tank Coleco Straight Slot Series qualifiers have concluded. Top 4 point totals in the 2 qualifiers have gained a berth to the CHICAGO STRAIGHT SLOT SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP to be held in Lemont Illinois in February to crown Chicago's finest Coleco Table Hockey Player! This came out today January 8th with hopes it will generate some more local
intrest in the Lemont Table Hockey League. LTHL 2010 Stiga season Opener sunday
at Vito & Nicks is mentioned. Thank you Lemont Reporter Matt Piechalak for
