I think the enamel is much sturdier under the rigor of game play but you definitely want to add a couple coats of clear coat for extra protection. Down side is that you have to use thinner, etc to clean your brushes as opposed to water.

As far as your decals you won't really be gluing - you will use water to get the decal off of the decal paper. I do recommend decal set - you should lightly brush the surface of the player with the decal set, position the decal, and then lightly brush the decal with the decal set. This will help the decals mold better into the contours of the player.

Think I mentioned this in our PM exchange but make sure your decal set is compatible with your decal sheets. Testor decal sheet decals will bubble with some of the other company's decal set.

LetsGoFlyers -

The decal process doesn't use glue. While I recommend decal set you could just use water.

Here is the process:
- Print your decal sheet
- spray liberally with a bonding spray
- let dry over night
- Cut out the decal that you want to apply
- using tweezers dip the decal into cold water for about 10 seconds and then let it soak on a paper towel for a minute or so
- after soaking, the actual decal will slide off of the decal paper backing and you just place the decal on the player
- once the decal is in place, lightly brush it with a water dampened paint brush to get any bubbles out and to get your edges to lay down

It's that easy - but one thing to keep in mind is to use very light strokes when you are applying clear coat over areas that have decals. If your stroke is too hard the colors may run.
