I recently stumbled upon a near mint condition Munro Crystal Ice Game with the players that attach to the white bases (they are the same as all Munro bases). One of the bases is cracked and needs to be replaced. Is there a trick to removing the bases from the posts? The bases seem to be pressed onto the post and quite difficult to pull off by hand. Any advice is much appreciated!

Hi yes there is a way. I have about 25 Munro Hull/Orr games I can gently pull the two sides on the ice and pop the base through because the board is so thin I do not know how thick the ice surface of Crystal Ice is? once you got the rod off just take two flat head screw drivers on each side of the base and pry it off. to get a new one on put the rod in the rod hole at the end of the game then put the pin through the ice slot then take a BBQ lighter heat up the pin the base goes on then slide the new one on then let it cool off and your good to go.

Thanks Pin....
plastic ice is too thick... no way is it going to pop through. Thinking I may just have to cut the broken one off then press the replacement base on as you mentioned. Now I need to find a few replacement bases. If anyone knows of someone with extras let me know!
