Well another fine TH weekend is all over and it was a great time.

Wanted to thank Jim Rzonca and John Medema. Without them, the tournament wouldn't happen each year. Everyone knows what Jim's contributions as games-master and showman and venue and food guy are, but John helps with setup and score getting and provided housing for edgars and others over the years.

Thanks to Paul Brotz for letting me borrow his brain at a point in the day when I had none left.

Thanks to the scorekeepers at various points throughout the day...Medema and Jeff Thill and Joe Salazar and Pierre C and Josh Brotz and Tim Walker.

Super Dave lived up to his own hype this year and Dany is a very nice and funny guy and his attendance makes any TH event more fun.

Nice to spend some time with Johnny Labs and Eric Dibacco, two guys who come back year after year.

It was a privilege to play Kent Richter in the quarterfinals. Had some close games, but just couldn't score against him. Now I know why Reggie has developed such a good fintar...he had to!

Jim's wife and daughters did their usual energetic and efficient job of getting everyone fed and keeping everyone hydrated (which was important given the intense heat outside and sweaty players inside).

And Edgars...never watched a Stiga player that good live before. He could have easily beaten most everyone by a much wider margin, but was content to simply go undefeated. Let's see...12 in first round, 15 in second, and 12 in playoffs (i think?)...so 39-0. And he was game enough to play Coleco, setting an example for other champs down the line.
