Ah...saw this in the Detroit Sunday Paper. If this is not an insult to table hockey, I don't know what is!!!!

Can you imagine if these kids had a REAL Table Hockey Game....

Look at these videos promoting this game.....

P.S.

This has the imagination of Gary Bettman written all over it!!!!

Probably is upset he can't play with his Crosby/Malkin figures in this game....

I think the creators of this game graduated from college too early. Rolling Eyes

Funny , I think I saw that they were pretty expensive too like 28 dollars ? The limited paint jobs are funny , so whats up with faces that are all odd colors ,very realistic . LOL . Its funny what the NHL puts there stamp on . It might appeal to like kids in kindergarden though hummm I know what Im getting Tom Warren for Xmas . Rolling On Floor Laughing

Didn't Benster have this idea five years ago? I'd be angry if I were him.

Any flavour of table hockey has it all over this weak sauce facsimile.

Benster told me about his idea for a hockey game based on Subbuteo. I relayed to him a game we played as kids invented by the guy who ran my local park Wolfe playground. That game was played on a rink with a grid, dice and those old lido hockey cake decorations. Ben told me about Kaskey Kids, a toy company in north burbs of Chicago. Mrs Kaskey saw her kids plying football with army men and got idea to create Football Guys. I was in contact with them about producing the old dice hockey game for about 2months. What was necessary was that the design of players had to be very similar to the lido men or you wouldnt be able to shoot puck well. Mr and Mrs Kaskey didn't have much interest as they had already submitted designs to manufacturer for the hockey guys, so they very politely told us to shop idea around elsewhere. The it final design would never work for the game we had in mind. But for imaginary play by small children it looks ok. I believe they won an award for FootballGuys. Best new toy or best creative toy

I bought the Soccer Guys for my sons. The set came with two many strikers, or rovers and not enough hitters, or sliders or whatever soccer players do. A quick email to Kaskey Kids and within a week I had a replacement player in my mailbox. Not many companies have such terrific service.

Bought the Hockey Guys as well. Even though my sons prefer the Stiga, they still break them out from time to time. Hockey Guys are are also useful for explaining positioning for when my sons actually take to the ice.

Hey SKlump, Joe Sal and the rest of the bunch, i'm back!!!
How are you, long time no chat...

And BTW, no i'm not angry at all because i'm already on my custom table hockey game project and someone (a big company that everybody knows) is already interested on my game. Very realisitc, the MOST REALISTIC hockey game ever made. I'm already patented in Canada, US and some Euros countries so not problem with that..

players free on very movements all round the ice, bodycheck, passing, shooting, icing, offside and of course...A LOT OF FUNS.

Depending of the time and negos, this game should be available for second half of 2012. You won't be dissapointed.

Feel free to drop me a line at: canadatabletopgames@gmail.com.

Take care and chat to you soon, Benster
