Inagural Eastern Ontario Table Hockey Championships

Our event is being held as a central feature of the Ontario Sportsman Show, in the Petawawa Civic Centre (the town arena). This is a great opportunity to promote table hockey to the wider public, as there will be 5,000 people in attendance at the Show. We should have a nice crowd gathered to watch our games taking place.

While the main event is taking place on Stadium Powerplay2 games, using flat coleco players... we will also have side-challenges on Stiga, Men of Steel, Munro, and on a Classic Benej game! This should be a great gathering of the table hockey community. We have players coming from the Thunder Bay area, several from Ottawa (including John Cooke), and others from Toronto (such as Dave Kraehling). Please come and support this inaugural event! This is a very close event for Gatineau area and Ottawa players, so I hope you can consider coming and having a fun day with us!

Saturday we have 25 players for the main event.
Players from all over Ontario attending, will be a tough field!

Sunday there are 14 kids signed up for an All Kids (13 and under) tourney, where they all win tons of prizes from local sponsors, and the top kid will take home Free Pizza for 6 months! Should be cool... and our next crop of Ontario players will rise out out these youngsters hopefully!

Sid Kloosterman of Peterborough won the first Eastern Ontario Table Hockey Championships! It was an amazing day of fun, with 24 players battling it out on the mini rinks.

The event was a feature of the Sportsman Show, so we had many observers and several people left their names as they wanted to participate in our local league next season.

On Sunday we held our first ever kids tourney... 12 excited kids played and there were some amazing moments. the crowds were yelling like crazy in the finals when Chris led 4-2 with 28 seconds to go, and Austin forged a comeback with two great goals in the dying moments to send it to OT. They both had their chances but Chris buried one on the far side from right wing to center to win the Kids title! 5-4 OT
