Yes JP,
Last year was a classic setup and the two day event was one to be apart of.

For those of you TH players out there sitting on the fence, John Fayolle puts on an unbelievable experience.

Just imagine, the first year we were privileged to meet Miss NY who eventually won Miss America, Mallory Hagan. Then we tour Times Square, The Empire State Building, and seeing the huge Christmas Tree at Rockafeller Centre.

Last year, I thought John couldn't top the previous year's event but he did.
Hosting a Munro tournament Friday night. Attracting some of the top Munro players from across North America.
Then witnessing a spectacular finals between Ron Marsik and Kenny Dubois. Oh yeah, I was the referee.

Saturday didn't disappoint the diehard table hockey player.
Again the venue was superb.
The competition was fierce and cordial.
After the dust settled Carlo Bossio had reclaimed his crown.

Then it was off to downtown New York for diner.
Riding the New York subway wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Poor Mark Sokolski was going to freeze but he managed to stay warm enough.
Oh, the weather was way colder then the previous year and it caught allot of us off guard.

We all showed up at a steak house about an hour before they closed.
We were seated around two tables which then increased to three tables which finally having us moved into our own private area.

Diner and the fodder was all memorable.

I write this in hopes that those of you who haven't had the fortune of going to NYC and enjoying TH as well the after party, to make your plans to join the rest of us who wouldn't miss it for the world.

As posted above, contact John and reserve your spot at both events and the after party not to mention the NY nightlife.

WoW, after saying all this, I'm stoked to go to NY on Nov7th.

Hope to see you there.

Super Dave

whew. Player list looks JUICY!!!

Wish I could be there again, but family obligations are keeping me back. For those on the sidelines, this is the go-to event for table hockey. New York provides a tremendous setting for a group of crazy table hockey folk to converge.
Host Johny Lightning goes to every means possible to make for everyone leaving with a big smile on their faces. New York cheesecake, anyone!

Enjoy the weekend fellas!

WoW....

What a weekend.....

I never thought I would make it there.....

I was almost resigned to returning home after the challenge I had trying to get to the tournament.....

It started out by missing my flight to NY by 5 MINS!

Then having the bleak outlook of seeing all of the following flights booked solid until 9:45pm....

I managed to find another flight around 3:30pm but then my luck changed as I was able to catch the 12:30 flight to NY...

Boy Am I glad I made it to NY....

As it has come to be expected now,

Mr. John Fayolle doesn't let his crowd down....

I arrive at the venue around 4pm on Friday night and I'm greeted by 3 of my friends and (foes)... Andre Pigeon, Jean Lavallee, and Gino Bossio.
The games begin...of course after the pleasantries...

I go up stairs to the venue to find Carlo sleeping or at least attempting to sleep on the floor. One Munro game lay on the floor beside him. The room is dark as the day is getting short....

The young lady at the desk informs me that the lights must stay off as a very important shoot was taking place.

WHAT?

After some scrimmaging on the Munro game we had set up, the room became too dark to continue. Around 5pm...
John shows up and after some quick conversation, we're all moving up to the 12th floor. BUT we are now being herded into the reception area to play an event...
I John's fine fashion he was able to pull it off.
But I'm not done yet....

The Munro games show up and something is peculiar...

OH YEAH.... There are NO NETS on 4 of the 6 games... Surprised
John disappears and returns about a half hour later with nets, Not Munro nets but nets none the difference. As we had started the event with the two games, John feverously worked to attach the nets to the games...
We were to have a couple of other Munro games show up....Oh Yeah Sid and the gang arrived an hour and a half late...

Getting the picture now.....?

After all of these little challenges John and the rest of us were able to pull together Munro event.

From the outside looking in, it must have looked chaotic....

The reality of it all is that the Munro event started later then last year and finished 2 hours earlier...
Figure that one out.....And we played approx. 16 games each.

On Saturday, We were back into the original space for the event. I was with Greg Scoma (Mr. Fashionably Late ) and AJ Sarma. I'm getting text's from Carlo wondering where I'm at and I inform him we'll be there shortly. We arrive at 10:50 am thinking we are holding up the show but walk into a room just a buzz of activity and in awe of the beautiful games we are about to play on. After many greetings and salutations... I proceed to test out some of the games and meet with various (opponents) I mean fellow players....

We were 30 players strong and a wide variety of talent.
This event I found catered to the player not to the game being played on...

The games played like they were the instrument of the players' talent.
The games were not the deciding or defining factor on whether someone won or lost...

From my point of view on the day the games played extremely well and I finished exactly where I was supposed to finish...OK Maybe Boxing
ANDRE!

After the event was over,

We were summoned to the 12th floor again for the award ceremonies or so we thought....

We walk into the area where we had the original event 2 years ago and low and behold a Professional photo shoot was set up....

After herding us all into a very tight space (Oh sooo cozy) our group picture(s) were taken... And I was Center of the shot ok from a camera point of view...

I must stop and say... John Fayolle not only pulled off this event but again out did himself again....
He is truly a Master of Ceremonies...

His dedications to the winners of all levels were as if we were at the Oscars but without the large crowd...

After a Champaign Toast and a quick clean up we were off to Times Square
for our annual picture of all of us looking back at Times Square...Huh?

Then it was off to the Steakhouse for dinner... All of the competitors accept for a few sat down to enjoy what has become a tradition in NY, Dinner.

Reminiscing about the weekends events and challenges and how it all faired in the end.

John, from a personal point of view, I'm in awe of how you pull things together and at the same time I'm impressed how you have so many people help you make it all work.

You are a true host and friend...

Thanks for everything this past weekend....

I look forward to next year, may the good lord willing....

BUT

Remember all to come to Toronto on Dec. 6th for the next installment of the NTHL Circuit.

I waited until John's event was done to start promoting the Toronto Event.

Again thanks John for the wonderful experience in NY....

Cheers
