I came up with a Munro 906 off Craigslist complete and in great shape for $10. The goals were white and in perfect shape the tins were great and a couple needed straightening, it even had the score board.

It neeeded a little touch up paint and lightly sanded the surface to clean up he paint and the added 3 coats Future Floor Finish sanding between coats. The coating self levels and the surface turned out great. I used the Future before for coating Subbuteo bases to increase glidding.

5 rods need repair and followed the tip on using brass tubes to epoxy new piano wire and the rods are straight as an arrow now. I could have saved a couple but the fix is so easy and felt the straighten rods would just rebend after a few games.

I also added T shaped nylon bushings and cut and sanded flat on the inside. I drilled the holes out as the larger bushing played smoother than the smaller size that required no drilling. I used the same black golf epoxy I had sitting around.

I have a temporary leveler setup that is velcroed to the table we use for our Stiga table that has carpet attached. It was a dog grooming table I built for my wife years ago.

I think we will use the roller puck that came with it but I made a few pucks from a broom handle and painted black and coated the bottom sides with the Future clear coat.

The game just seems to fast with the wooden puck and we would need to add some lexan glass to keep the puck in play. I also cut some wood to replace the spot where the score board would mount to fill the dead spot that is created without the score board in place.

This was the type of game I had as a kid and what a blast to play this again.

I will post some more pictures and I think a 5380 Coleco build is in the future. I have made a few Subbuteo tables with MDF and building a custom hockey table would be a fun. The metal goals I have made for Subbuteo will work for the table hockey.

Thanks

Tom

It's a beaut! I'll have to remember the floor finish trick for when the time comes on mine.

I was just going to disassemble the table and spray on a clear coat but the game was in such nice shape I figured it was better to us the Future with the game together instead of taping and then spraying. The finish is so good that even for a board that is removed I will stick with the Future clear coat, you just can't mess up the self leveling drying.

The finished photos came out to dark to post.

You guys have provided me great ideas and tips regarding the games.
