Hello everybody. In the midst of all the excitment last night over getting a few new players and sending out a bunch of new recruiting e-mails, I forgot to let y'all know I updated the USTHA web site main page. Hopefully, it's loaded by now, but hit refresh if you're getting the old version.

There's one new post in the news section, the calendar of events on the left has been updated with the new 07-08 tour dates (the ones I have, anyway) and the Top 10 player thing on the right is up-to-date.

Need to spend a bit of time when I get a chance updating the rankings to take down the now-expired King of Table Hockey points, since the event wasn't held this year. That'll be a sad experience, since Vancouver has so many great players and guys.

Edit: I got on a slight roll tonight and updated the NA, USA and CAN rankings to reflect the post-Vancouver era.

Hello everyone. I've updated the USTHA web site just now to include the changes to the tournament rating system approved by the USTHA/CTHA.

You can view them and an explanation of each slight change here:

Hello everyone. I've updated the CTHA/USTHA North American Stiga Tour rankings to include this year's U.S. Open. You'll note that due to the slight changes to the ranking system approved by both national associations to count your best three scores from TWO years, the results from the 2006 US Open remain posted. This will be the case with the other tournaments as we roll through the year.

The rankings will change once again after the excellent Shawinigan tournament being put on by Junior, Huges and Jonathan and Co. in just a few short weeks. It's an amazingly deep field of talent and should be an extremely hard-fought tournament. I think it's safe to already congratulate the organizers for attracting so many good players.

Then there's Edmonton's annual tournament coming up, where Reggie, Kent and the gang will try to improve on last year's finishes and newcomers will try to knock them down a peg. And October promises Gatineau, which always gets a ton of top talent and big numbers. It's a good year to be playing Stiga, and table hockey in general.

You can view the rankings for NA, USA and CAN here:

http://www.ustha.com/ranking/index.html

As always, if you notice any errors, please e-mail me at byline302@yahoo.com and I will correct them.

Best,
Eric

Cool, now I can tell everyone I am one of the top 104 table hockey players int the US Rolling On Floor Laughing

Maybe next year I can improve enough to get an actual number next to my name

It's always good to have a goal. Cheers

Hello everyone. I posted this update on the USTHA main page just now:

Shawinigan shakes up the rankings; Edmonton is next up 8-29-07
The North American rankings got a bit of a makeover after the successful Shawinigan tournament last weekend. Ken Dubois is still on top, but several other top players made a surge. Junior Gelinas overtook Bernie Kunzler for the top spot in Canada (and second overall). You can check it all out on the rankings page. Let's not forget that September is a busy table hockey month as well, with the Centennial Challenge in Edmonton taking place Sept. 22.

You can check out the rankings here: http://www.ustha.com/ranking/index.html

There are rankings for all of NA, as well as US and CAN.

As always, if you spot any errors, please send me an e-mail at byline302@yahoo.com to let me know so I can make the appropriate corrections.

Merci,

Eric

Hello everyone. I've updated the North American rankings page to reflect the recently-completed CCC in Edmonton.

You can check it out here: http://www.ustha.com and click on the rankings page.

Next up: Canada Challenge in Gatineau, which is sure to shake up the rankings yet again, given the number of players and strength of field.

Take care,
Eric

Hello. The North American, USA and Canadian Stiga tour rankings have been updated to reflect the excellent and hard-fought Gatineau tournament last weekend.

Having some software issues, apparently, so the NA rankings are on a temporary page. You can find it all here:

http://www.ustha.com/ranking/index.html

As always, if you spot an error, math or otherwise, please let me know at byline302@yahoo.com

Thanks,

Hello everyone. The USTHA web site has been updated to correct a couple errors, including one big one: the CCC from Edmonton this year has been included once again.

http://www.ustha.com/ranking/index.html

Note: you have to click on the temporary page to get the NA rankings. Still having Macromedia Contribute issues...

On the top 20 players, 14 of them are Canadian players, 5 US players and 1 Swedish. And 9 from Quebec province.

On the Next CanAm Cup we should do, Team Canada, Team Quebec and Team USA.

Team Quebec:

Junior G.
Hugues D.
Carlo B.
Eric O.
Eric D.
Denis M.
Alain G.
Pascal T.

Jeez Pascal, why not go further and have Team Gatineau, Team Montreal, Team Rest-Of-Quebec, and Team Rest-Of-Canada.

Where the hell do I fit? I live in Ontario and play in Quebec. Are you quite sure everyone you have listed fits in the Quebec side? Several work in Ontario - in particular, for the Canadian Armed Forces.

Respectfully, this is a terrible idea. Not to come across as too touchy, I do find it discouraging that you would by default exclude me from the Gatineau side. I want my accomodation raisonnable dammit! I promise I'll take off my veil to play table hockey Laughing

No offence Stephen it was just for fun. With all the effort you are doing in the LAHTO and with your french, you should be part of the team. But If you are part of Ontario team, you have Bernie and Bruce, that's a good start.
Team LAHTO should be very strong as well if you take a 8 players team, it can be very strong. Boxing
