Well there is Reggie, Kent and the Edmonton boys but these guys went ot Russia so I think we can forgive them. Laughing Also Warren, Suke and the Vancouver crew, Dom as well from Vancouver could be a long shot?

Even though, this line up is quit awesome. Enjoy

Airfare to Chicago from Edmonton, and vice versa, is insanely overpriced. It's a legit $800 or more round-trip, in US $, last time we all checked.

Flying to Calgary and driving three hours to EDM ain't much cheaper.

The airline cabal...keeping EDM from CHI and CHI from EDM. I had EDM on my radar screen to come play this fall, but I can't take that kind of airfare hit right now.

Hello peeps. We had another player register this morning. Paul Slezak of the Champaign, IL area registered once again. Paul is a one-time LTHL veteran who will be driving a couple hours that morning to get his Stiga on.

That brings us to 53 for the Stiga Saturday event. I know a couple more fence-sitters are out there, so after all the inevitable cancellations, we're looking at 50 or more for Stiga.

Found out about Adam Z dropping out of the Coleco U.S. Open, so we're at like 22-23 with two weeks to go.

Hey, just realized...two weeks from today, Coleco U.S. Open is taking place....

You can put Ron Marsik and Mike Lisowski on the COLECO US Open Board.

We're at the VFW playing tonight, testing everything out.

Two Chicago TH legends.

Okay Jim, Eric and John, numbers are going crazy!!!! I am to tiered of counting everytime or remembering what the count was last and at what name!!!! So here's the deal. As if you didn't have enough on your plates already, I'm adding another task.

Everyday from now until the 27th you will write the count down to the greatest table hockey week-end to date!!!!

As follows:

Coleco (27)
Stiga (54)

Followed by the numbers the next day and so on and so fourth. So, what is it, yes Carlo or do it yourself you clown. Laughing

Could be fun, especially if the numbers grow, and grow and grow some more.

Yes sir, Jim was looking at 40-20, wouldn't it be great to see a 60-30!!!! Wow, these guys are very, very much dedicated to our sport and they deserve all our support. Get your butts in Lemont, sounds maybe hypocriticle coming from someone who will not even be there himself, but trust me, I would if I could!!!!. Trying to do my best to get guys from my corner of the globe to get there though. So far 3 will be making the trip.

What a week-end this will be, WHAT A WEEK END!!!!!!!!!!

Not to be the fly in the ointment, the monkey in the wrench, the turd in the punch bowl...but I'll be quite happy with the numbers we presently have. I know I've pulled out just about all the rabbits I can out of my hat in terms of player recruitment. Outside of a massive influx of traveling Stigamites or the resurrection of the CTHL from the dead, I just don't see it getting much bigger than this. Hey, I'm happy...I never thought either event would hit the heights they've hit.

If you've ever planned on coming to Chicago to play some TH in the summer...this is the year to do it. Ain't gonna get much better than this!!!

Ciao

PostPosted: Fri Jul 27, 2007 5:01 am    Post subject: new champ Reply with quote

Hello everyone. Just found out we will be crowning a new champion at this year's Stiga U.S. Open.

Defending champ and three-time winner Ken Dubois will not be able to defend his title due to a sciatic nerve problem in his leg that made a long car journey impossible. We wish Ken a speedy recovery and thank him for all his support over the years.

That means someone else will be hoisting the Butler Memorial Cup at the end of Saturday's tournament. Who will it be? Rob Chargo again? Bernie Kunzler? Montreal's Denis Maille? Or maybe organizer Jim Rzonca himself?? A dark horse from the rest of the field?

Those who'll be there watching will find out right away. Everyone else will be able to get live updates shortly after they happen right here on www.tablehockeyheaven.com

We've got a last-minute entry for the Coleco. It's AJ Sarma of Southern Cal.

Wow & wow!!!! Sorry to hear about Kenny. This is a seriouse contender who is out also for the Coleco. I heard he had been practicing quit a bit on that board as well and had a seriouse chance at winning both!

Get well soon.

As for Ajit, this guy is yet another true lover of this game. Massive traveller as well a la John Power with the difference that he is always in a plane. Smile

Have fun boys, Ciao

Wow great news. People don't know this but they were litrally seconds away from missing the event dew to massive travelling complications and erreurs!!!! Now, it remains to been seen how well they will actually do with over 24 hours travelling time and maybe 2 or 3 hours sleep!!!!

Hope they had time at least for a quick shower. Smile

PS: Can't wait for the results.

Ciao
