Thanks for your recruiting efforts, Greg.
I'll get him signed up.

That's 57 for Stiga if everyone shows. And 29 for Coleco on the list (although I think in reality it's 27).

Let's see if I've figured out how to post photos.

Here's Kevin's board at Carlo's home, before I picked it up. It was made by Pascal Leclerc through Carlo Bossio. We put some of Kevin's accomplishments around the boards. I got the old school Sabres' logo.

We, the NYCTHA, used the board all season 'cause we had more players than we expected. So, it is broken in. Its now in Chicago. After Chicago, it is Kevin's to take home, have to practice and get ready for NYCTHA's International Classic on September 8, 2007.

Here's my "Sabres de Virginia" game that I also got from Carlo Bossio & Pascal Leclerc. This photo is with my daughter, grand-daughter and son-in-law down in southern Virginia (the real south - hunting, farm land, church Angel and small towns).

They had a blast playing on the game. I left it there for a few weeks. John's hunting and computer buddies got into playing the game coming over often while it was there.

So, so far Carlo's and the Labelle-inspired custom Coleco's have reached as far south as near the 30 miles from border of North Carolina and Virginia.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a close-up of the game taken just after Adam Zawislak's "Bring Your Own Game" (BYOG) multi-game format tournament held each year in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Adam will be at the US Open in Lemont (Chicago), Illinois representing his old league, American Continental THL, the Central Pennsylvania THL and the NYCTHA.

Steve Bernstein, MA won the BYOG tournament with John Power, NYCTHA, 2nd place. It was a lot of fun going from a Benej, to a larger Benej, to an Eagle, to a Coleco 5380, to a Coleco 5340.

You cannot quite see, but the team in white is my Virginia Sabres home uniform. (I earned 3rd place).

I wanted to know if you can use a stiga game in that BYOG tournament?

Sabre my friend, I have you beat by at least another 75-100 miles south into NC (near Greensboro). I received my custom Carlo Bossio Hartford Whalers edition Coleco on June 12th. It's incredible! I should be finished "polishing it off" in the next couple of weeks. I will post some pics at that time.

By the way, your game in looks awesome!!! We really need to get together and play some TH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to Jim, but I'm not completely recovered from my neck surgery from last week just yet.

I'll come to the U.S. Open next year, and bring my Bossio Custom Hartford Whalers Coleco game for everyone to play on Friday night. I'll even jump on the Stigas' the next day with the rest of you guys (even though I've never played a on a Stiga!).

I wish I could make it up there this year. I'm really looking forward to meeting all you guys!!!!

Neil,
Greensboro? I get down to Raleigh-Durham often enough. But you're further west. You're in the beginning of the great furniture making portion of the country.

Though my daughter now lives just across the border, I often go to her church in Oxford, NC about every six weeks or so. Maybe we can meet in Raleigh/Durham at Duke or something?

But, wow! Where have you been? How did you hear about these boards? You got me beat!

Yeah, I haven't been able to post much lately due to my recent surgery. But I'm starting to feel better, and I'm ready to start playing TH again.

As far as the board, I started talking to Carlo back in May about them. I ended up getting him to build me a Custom Whalers game (my favorite team from the early '80s, and how ironic, they eventually come to North Carolina as the Hurricanes! Go Figure!?!).

About the time my game arrived from Montreal, I hurt my neck again. I've only been able to do a few things to it so far (painted the goals & added goal counters on each end). I've still got numerous logos and stickers to place on the boards and frame of the game itself. I'll have it ready soon, and post photos on here for everyone to see.

We can try to meet up sometime and play. Sounds awesome. If necessary, I'll make my way up there to VA.

Speaking of old timers, here's an old timer. North Buffalo Table Hockey League, circa 1974-1975.

Love that long hair and plaid pants! Embarassed

Yep, that's me. Those plaid pants were one of the must-have wardrobe items.

Mark Oblick, also pictured, founded the NBTHL with me, and being a couple years older helped us set up our statistics, record-keeping, etc.
