C'mon Eugene,
In a Canadian context, you're definitely an 'Advanced' player - in fact you're rocking a top-ten rank!

That is very generous of you, Stephen, but until I qualify for A-division playoffs at a tournament, I will never have the audacity to boast 'advanced skills' -- especially at a World Tour event.
Likewise, if Tim Walker accidentally registers as a 'beginner' again this year, I will promptly correct his mistake, and upgrade his status to 'intermediate'. |

If I did my math correctly just 17 more sleeps until The Stiga Canada Cup.
For those of you who were there last year, you will remember a well run fun event. For those of you who are thinking about it ...

That's right, Mr Cooke -- just 17 more days until the 2012 STIGA Canada Cup in the Toronto area! I added a countdown clock to the website today so that no one needs to do any math
http://www.StigaCanadaCup.com
If anyone is planning on competing in this fun event, please register as soon as you can. This will help us in planning the number of tables required, food, and the 'calibre' of sexy hostesses we plan on hiring to referee games, encourage competitors, make friendly conversation and offer cold water and such.
That's right -- two sexy hostesses.
The pre-registration discount will expire on October 24th.
We're at 19 registered players to date, and we're happy to have three of the top six Canadians, as well as the top two American players in the tournament so far. Our hope is to reach a number of at least 32 participants so that we can have A, B, C and D division championships.
The tournament will be hosted again at STIGA Canada's headquarters, so all participants will have the opportunity to purchase replacement parts and team packs at discount prices. Used tournament games will also be sold-off for $50 each.
Thank you, all!

I really enjoyed my time at this tournament last year. A fun group and the tournament was well run.
Toronto is a great city. Got to make my second visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
I'd happily return this year, but it's the weekend before the U.S. election and I've gotta work. |

Thank you for the compliment, Stephen... but nice try
No, we plan on hiring two fresh lovely women to 'brighten' the atmosphere through the length of the tournament. I think it will be a welcome sight for those tired of looking at a room full of mostly men all day.
Wouldn't you agree? |

Wow -- we now have the top-three ranked Americans ready to compete in the 2012 STIGA Canada Cup!
'A-player' competition is shaping up to be quite fierce. And we now have a good mix of beginner- and intermediate-level players to stage quality championships in all divisions.
If anyone is still planning on playing in the tournament, please register as soon as you can, as this will help us in planning game setup, food, and the quality/calibre of lovely hostesses.
Thank you!

Wow , I cannot say enought about the great Stiga tournament on Saturday . Eugene and Rick bettered themselves from last year (very hard to do ).
Eugene ran ran a great board ,as good as I've seen one run . Everyone was helpful and happy that we were there . My son and I felt very welcomed . That's important , you take time off of work and school ,you fill up the tank, you spend the money ,you make the long drive . It's great to feel that it was worth the time and money .
Then the quality of players was even better than last year . Had a few more yanks show which was great .
Then they had great giveaways .
Then they had the girls who were as nice as they were pretty . Great idea !
Then today only three days later via e-mail I got the final stats in an great easy to read format . Class !, Class ! , Class !
A GREAT experience . Well done Eugene and Rick !!! A+ , A+ , A+ .

It was great to have 4 kids playing.
Ricky Sugden tied me and Henry Walker scored twice in the last 20 seconds to tie me.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
My highlights ;
Getting 19 points in round 2 ....versus 3 points last year felt great.
Beating Steve Bernstein is always fun.
Taking Bernie Kunzler to overtime twice was better than my last year's 0-9 and 0-9 defeats to him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The strides I made up from last year , I am sure will be made by Sid and Josh and Austin next year .
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cost of playing is worth it just to watch Bjarne Axelsen play .
