Hello everybody. The Lemont Table Hockey League opens its 7th year / 11th season TONIGHT / SATURDAY Night at the Lemont VFW Post!
Pucks drop around 7:15 pm. All this started in Jerry Pytlewski's home sweet home garage back in 2002.

THOUSANDS of games and a few venues later we are still fortunate enough to continue the TABLE HOCKEY FUN here in LEMONT USA!!

Please check out stories and stats of our very first season back in 2002 courtesy of Eric Krol ~
http://www.geocities.com/lemontthl/lthl02.html

This 2008 summer season will be a 6 week season with PLAYOFFS / FINALS in week #7. Players must play in 4 of the 6 regular season weeks to qualify for the playoffs.

LTHL is a OPEN league. Players are encourged to come out even if its for only a day for a good FUN time. We play around 22 games per league night on TOP NOTCH set-ups so you will get your fill.

We expect a very good turnout around 14 players. The games have been tuned, set up at the VFW a day in advance so we are ready to ROCK! Just turn the key and hit the lights!

Holding League dates is vital to the health to any annual tournamet and vital to any cities table hockey health anywhere. This is very important. Leagues / clubs are the cornerstone to growth and to BIG sucessfull tournaments in Europe just for example! So the ****STIGA U.S. OPEN**** has greatly benifited from the year long league sessions in Lemont.

BIG THANK YOU to my partner Mr. Eric Krol. No one runs a tighter ship than Eric.
BIG THANK YOU to every single player that has come thru the LTHL doors thru the years. Its you guys that love this game, show up and compete that makes all this grow and worth it!

Keep it KrAnKiN!

13 players all got in 24 matches last night for some FURIOUS LTHL Action at the VFW Post in Lemont Illinois! Thank you to Bob Ingo {Heaven Challenger} for joining the LTHL with his 2 sons! They are very good on the Stiga but more importantly they are first class young men with obvious strong upbringing. That appears to be lacking in a few players over the last year at our events. But they will be hearing from me. So BIG THANK YOU for joining the LTHL with your family Bob! You guys are Valueble to the Lemont Table Hockey League.

NEXT STOP ~ COLECO SHARK TANK SHOOTOUT!

LET'S ROCK!

Jim Rzonca is the most fabulous host anyone could hope for, and Eric Krol keeps thing moving like clockwork. The LTHL members made us feel very welcome on our first night in the league. Our thanks goes out to all those guys, and especially Rich and Jeff Thill. They are gentlemen to the max.

Its a blessing to have found the LTHL.

Got a quick report and some standings up (courtesy of John Medema)...took some pictures and will get them up at some point this week. Playing a double round robin (24 games in this case) in four and a half hours was a bit of a marathon.

You can check it out here:

LTHL will play Week 3 on Saturday, July 5. Here's the note I sent to the league mailing list...

Hello everyone. We'll be playing Week 3 of the LTHL summer season on Saturday, July 5.

Two important notes: we're starting at 6 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. And we're at Vito and Nick's Pizza/bowling alley up the road on State Street in Lemont, instead of the VFW hall.

This is our tune-up for the Stiga USOpen to be held on Saturday, July 26. There's also a Coleco tournament that Friday night, July 25. If you haven't signed up yet (Jerry Miller Sr and Jr come to mind, as do Dan Lord and Jerry Pytlewski) and you're interested, please do so ASAP.

We know July 5 falls on a holiday weekend, but a quick survey showed that a lot of the regulars can make it, so there you are. There were some scheduling conflicts on July 12, our preferred date.

As always, if you think you'll be playing, please e-mail me back or call Jim at 630-257-8171 so we can be sure to have enough games on hand.

Best,
Eric and Jim

Chargo knows all the lanes. Isn't it interesting how all the elite level players, every one of them, has great defense? It must be a result of practice somehow . . . I don't know . . . . I guess the elite guys just know the lanes.

To have the turnout that the LTHL has in JULY Shocked blows me away . . . great venue too that Vito and Nicks.

You guys are lucky--all of you. I would have loved to play table hockey on Saturday night here in NYC. But the folks around here just don't get it when it comes to table hockey. 8 million idiots . . . Confused

Right on LTHL!

Hey John, you should buy the house next door to Rzonca's. Then you can play all year round too.

It's still for sale, but it won't last long at this price:

Sounds good except for one problem: that house is not big enough to fit all of my games . . . remember, I'm a benej fanatic Shocked

Although it would be neat to hang out on the balcony and watch Jim get chased out of the house with his old lady swinging a frying pan at his head Shocked Shocked
