It's Table Hockey night at the Hoopie Dome. Cowboy
The OVTHL will hold finally hold their Winter 2008-2009 Championship under bright sunny skies and the temperature in the 80 's Very Happy

Mike Hubbard has been awarded Regular season champion with Eric DiBacco Finishing runner up. Clapping

Because not everyone has played an equal amount of games we will play a double round robin to determine seeds for the Winter Championship.

We will then begin the playoffs, all games best of seven, the way real men settle their differences. Boxing

Results to be posted later tonight with videos to be shown this week.

I 'd wish everyone else luck, but I would be lying.

They are mostly Jam bands/Jazz Fusion/ Jazz Grass (mix of bluegrass and jazz fusion) and a few that play a Country Jazz Southern Rock type of music (yep there is such a thing). Really a new fangled hippie scene Rasta without all of the sewer rat Phish heads Rolling Eyes mucking it up for everyone. Yeah... I said it !!! Shocked

Greetings Table Hockey fans

It's late and the birthday tournament is in the books and like Tiger, Pens Fan took his own tournament Not Worthy

First off, thank you to everyone who came, it is really appreciated and was wonderful having you at my party. Second thanks to my wife, Seana, for all the hard work getting everything ready !!! Very Happy

Some familiar faces participated, Dean, Mike, Dave and Jay.
We also had some new faces getting a taste of their first OVTHL action. Jessie, Guinswin's son, substituting for his dad and a new friend Adam, who works with my wife and lives up the street. Jessie netted a Igloo (Penguin's mascot ) trading card as rookie of the day. It was nice meeting Adam and Adam walked home with a Penguins Stanley Cup T Shirt as winner of random drawing. Hopefully he's hooked on Table Hockey and we will have a new player.

We played two round robins and then a best of three playoffs.

Results from Round Robin

W L GF GA GFA GAA
Eric 9 2 40 18 3.64 1.64 *****
Dean 9 2 45 21 4.09 1.91

Jessie 1 5 10 26 1.67 4.33 dnp 2nd round
Adam Sad 11 5 47 0.45 4.27

**** Eric wins tie 2nd brake via goals against Mike. Dean and Eric each scored 6 each against each other.

The OVTHL is gearing up for their next road trip to the Motor City Stiga championships. Our plan is to have as many league nights as our work schedules allow between now and the March 27th tournament. We also hope to register six members to compete this year. Practice games have been dominated by Mike Hubbard as of late. After two practice sessions he had amassed a 24 and 3 record! His shot practice is apparent. His shot is also hard on his equipment. Three of his goalies have had to be repaired. But after the last set of practice games, Dean Moore has closed the gap. Hubbard 29-12 Moore 26-15. Next league night to be held at one of three destinations. The Hoopie Dome, Hubbards Cupboard or the Dean Dome. All welcome. And Shawn, if you are reading this, we need your defense to practice against.

It's a Hockey night at the Hoopie dome and Dave has already taken two.
Showing that Eric and Dean are the most over rated players since Crosby and Lemiux

Pierre Chastenais made a visit to the Hoopie Dome Wed. night. Also, a long overdue appearance was made by Shawn Tustin. It was the OVTHL's first hockey night since July. (THAT'S TOO LONG FRIENDS!) Also in attendance was, Eric Dibacco, Mike Hubbard and Dean Moore. Pierre is in town to see his Canadiens take on the Pens tonight at the Consol Energy Center. (GO PENS!) After two quick rounds of play, Dean and Mike ended the night tied with one loss each. And as always, we ate good at the Hoopie Dome. Last night we had Shawn's BBQ pork ribs. VERY GOOD! (11th best in the buckeye state) Watch the game tonight and maybe get to see Pierre due the human bowling gig during one of the intermissions.

Eric Dibacco of the OVTHL was a guest on AM Sports Radio 1430 Weir Morning Show not too long ago. You can hear his interview by clicking on Weir Morning Show after finding Am Sports Radio 1430. Good job Wacky Dibacco! Clapping

Some time (years) have gone by since a OVTHL post. I'd like to report that our number of players have skyrocketed but, that didn't happen. The number of players has actually decreased. Sad. We have three faithfuls. Myself, Dean Moore and good friends, Mike Hubbard and Dave Wright. We try to get together at least once a week. And I have to sseen ay it's always a good time. Mike wins most of these playoffs but I have to report we had a first ever playoff win by Dave! He wins 3 games to one over Mike. All for now. See you all in Detroit next month.

Another first for the OVTHL this Sat. night. We've had three different winners in as many weeks! I was the one lucky enough to knock off Hubbard in the playoffs three games to two. I do have to report, Hubbard exploded for nine in a nine to zero game four. Flex
