that sounds like a great idea, however, i m not able to make it Sad
because of a best friend ( i only get to see once a year ) coming in for the holidays on the 27th. Very Happy

So it will be up to the HitMen to represent Blazing Guns on the 27th.

Maybe some time in the future the CAGA and OVTHL can meet somewhere about half way and continue the tradition.

The OVTHL held their 1st Annual Holiday Tournament and competed for Low Rider Trophy driven by Santa and SnowMan. Low Rider rides a little lower....the low rider gets a little higher.

Eric, Brett, Dean aka TinMan, Mike, Dave, and new comer Johnathon (brett's friend) competed for the trophy. We munched on deer burgers thanks to Dave. Clapping Thanks to my wife for being a sport and cooking the burgers and helping with the food. Laughing We snaked on a veggie tray, salad, maccaroni salad, ho ho cake and spianch dip. Cheers

We played 2 round robin rounds to complete a regular season to detemine seeds and then began playoffs first round best of 3 and semi's and finals best of 5. 10 year phenom Brett took the OVTHL veterans by storm in the first round going UNDEFEATED Flex . Eric came back strong in the second round robin to go undefeated and take the #1 seed with a 8-2 record, 1 game ahead of Brett who finished 2nd.

Eric and Brett received byes in the first round.
Mike defeated Johathon and Dean defeated Dave in the 1st Round.
In the second round Eric defeated Dean 3 games to 0 and Brett took his ole man, Mike, 3 games to 2. In the finals Eric stormed out to a 2 - o game lead. Brett then made it a series by winning game three. Eric was able to pull out game 5 in overtime to take the crown.

i will try and post scores tomorrow. Cheers

Thanks for all who came out. The OVTHL wishes the HitMen luck in there journey to detroit for the caga tournment this coming sat. Wish I could join them. The OVTHL will resume after the new year day yet to be determined.

Greeting Table Hockey Fans,
1st off good luck to all those in Las Vegas, wish I was there, have fun !!

The OVTHL held it's 1st League night since the Holiday Low Rider Tournament. League night held at the Dean Dome. It was great to Brian back his game improved from the last time he played, thanks to his Stiga Christmas Present.

The HitMen fresh off there visit to Detroit came out a smokin. A big thanks, to Detroit for making our guys feel welcome.

A sarcastic thanks to Tim. Hey, like the 10 year old needs any more help beating us, let alone giving him a cheat sheet with shots to practice come on give us a break Laughing We want that too !!

Once again we learned that you need to be on top of your game , ever game, as our league is becoming more and more balanced. Take a game off and chalk up a loss.

Hmm...I'd have to ask the other people I'm about to mention, but what about an OVTHL vs CPTHL vs NYCTHA, league vs league, challenge cup? To meet in Harrisburg, PA. Somewhat equi-distant for both the OVTHL and NYCTHA.

Which boards are you using?

Sabre, i think that's a great idea.

The OVTHL would be up to any kind of challange/cup against any of the leagues if we can get the dates coordinated. The OVTHL took on CAGA in Detroit in December. I did see someone mentioning a world cup match up where leagues met up in some kind of format. I m all for that !!

Heck, maybe we can get CAGA involved. Hey, maybe Pittsburgh 's the place for the "summit" of all hockey tournaments. It is after all, 8 hours from almost everyone.

Oh, we play mostly on Stigas, but I have a custom carleco , and a benji.

Here we go Steelers, Here we go !!!

Enjoyed having some of your representatives (Teams ?) come to the Christmas tournament and have sort of a "Summit Series" against 4 of our CAGA teams.

You guys are lucky, livning within a day trip to the East and Mid-West, heck, should contact the Binghamton Guys in NY, Think they might be the cloest to your league

BTW, I do have the stats done, will put them oln the CAGA webpage this weekend.

Here is a drunken hockey match between Eric "the Cobra" DiBacco and Shawn "the Mongoose" Tustin. The Cobra wins this match 4-3 but the Mongoose has some heartbreaking 'around the horn' misses.

Don't mess with the foo-tar... an OVTHL original. What size hoodie Labs? Do you want it with the Mongoose or the Cobra on it? Or do you want....

..'The Labradore'
Honorary Member

It should be less than $20 with shipping. The hoodie costs approx. $10 the decals cost a couple of dollars and shipping should be around $5.

The OVTHL did a great job in representing itself last weekend....The Cobra and Mongoose played in the Motor City 5380, then the crew came out played very well in the SNAC....Great job, by The Sniper and him being the youngest A Pool player in the 2 year SNAC histroy (this will be a tough record for someone to break).....

J.B. and I are looking forward to visiting the OVTHL for the upcoming Pittsburgh event?? Let me know if you need help.......

The only complaint I had all weekend was the t-shirt I wore on Saturday (Yes, Detroit did destroy Pittsburgh and Sindy last year)

Ok... the UGLY red T-shirt aside... we want to know why the Detroit boys can't kiss and make up? Sad I mean really... there are what... 50 people who play competitive table hockey? And you boys can't get along long enough to have a league night Baby ... so what ...you are going to have 2-3 leagues in Motown with 3 people each? Come on guys.... can't we all just get along? Angel

Paul
Thanks !

The OVTHL does have it's wheels in motion to host a OVTHL Pittsburgh Open. We have a targeted date of October 2010 as a realistic date, knowing that the planning involved is not simple. Kudo's to all those that have held successful tournaments in the past.

We will work hard for a great venue near the Pittsburgh International Airport to make it as convenient and economic as possible for all that come. And there are many to choose from with the Embassy Suites hotel high on the list.

So come one , come all, the OVTHL"S PITTSBURGH OPEN will not be small Cheers

So let us know, if we build it.....WILL YOU COME ??? Cheers
